Sudio Tolv, premium earbuds on a budget?
Source: Sudio.com
Suggesting everyone would have the ability to listen to music on the go from a device that wasn't the size of a brick such as the Walkman, would have gotten you laughed out of the room no less than 25 years ago. Today, however, that's exactly what our world is, Everyone walking around with their earbuds in, listening to their favourite music, podcasts or stories. There is a problem with this, however... Wires. They tangle in your pocket, They get caught on things as you walk past and if you set up your phone on a table to watch a movie, the second you get up that phone is sent across the room. I would recommend getting wireless headphones but good ones are expensive and the cheaper ones sound tinny... Or do they?
Compared to other wireless earbuds on the market I would have to say that the Sudio Tolv would have to be one of if not the best option for wireless headphones. Let's talk about the specs.
Distance - The Bluetooth function is capable of reaching up to 10 meters with clean and clear playback so long as there are no thick walls between you and the device you're streaming from.
Battery - The Sudio Tolv headphones have a great battery life being able to last up to 22 hours on a full charge. On top of this, the case that they come in also charges them when you're on the go. The case can be charged using micro-USB meaning that if you are like me you will finally have a use for those hundreds if not thousands of micro-USB cables lying around.
Water-resistance - The Sudio Tolv earbuds are sweat-resistant, however, I would say that is an understatement. One time I was walking in the rain with my phone in one pocket and my earbuds in the other. The pockets flooded and my phone got fried, however, the earbuds still worked after being submerged in water for roughly an hour though results may vary.
Sound quality - These earbuds may be small and only cost a fraction of the price of a pair of AirPods and Galaxy buds, however, don't let that scare you away, These headphones not only are loud but have plenty of bass behind every sound making these budget earbuds fool anyone into thinking you paid a premium for them when in reality, you didn't.
Some issues I have with the Tolv:
Even with how great these headphones are there are a few issues with them.
1. For starters, if your case breaks you can't order a new case on its own, you will have to order all new earbuds. After my headphones were stuck in water for an hour I was worried my case was gone as it was flooded with water. Thankfully it still worked after sitting in rice overnight. Unfortunately, when I looked for a new case I found nothing on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or even the official Sudio website meaning if your case fries, you're going to need to get new headphones at a full price.
2. Sometimes the case doesn't pick up that the earbuds are plugged in meaning that your earbuds will go into your pocket with a low battery and when you go to grab them an hour later they are still dead. Luckily however this occurrence is very rare, On top of this, I also noticed that the charging issue only became prevalent after the case was flooded in my raincoat pocket.
Luckily the issues with these headphones are few and far between and the pros of these earbuds overshadow the issues they may have. If you would like to see the options or pick up a pair go ahead and check them out through the affiliate links below.
